Personel Sandbox

Most businessmen run an enterprise with the intent of making a profit. Some, however, have other ideas of what constitutes a business. Here, they are in business not only for money but also for the emotional satisfaction of having social and economic power over other people. These types of employers can be very arbitrary in their decisions. Customers as well can be treated arbitrarily and abusively. Here, the merchant is living out their dream world but it impacts the lives of people around him. Little can be said of this ethically but morally they are unprofessional, abusive, uncaring, arbitrary and annoying.

Note: An employer who is building his or her sandbox can be emotionally violent when their fantasy word is threatened with the realities of business. Since their focus is on enjoying themselves and not on business things get out of hand. Here someone must take the blame. People are fired and new people are hired. The proprieter has outbursts of rage that intimidate the employees. A climate of fear spreads and good employees move on to better businesses. In this respect had the abusive employer simply focused on the business they might have had a success unimaginable, but instead they sold themselves short by operating a personal sandbox and not a business.
