Intimating   (in-tim-ating)

Getting close and personal with a person for the sole purpose of extracting money. This disingenuous friendship only to the extent the predatory businessperson extracts money from a person. Feigning intimacy locks an unwary person into business deals that are not to their advantage. The victim here loses the capacity to say no or I'll wait on making a decision. The intimate uses the clients logic against them by way of some form of pseudo logic that is compelling and seemingly right.
